RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Modern-Pak has an impressive track record of successful research and development collaboration in plastic packaging manufacturing. Through joint development agreements, co-operations and funded collaborations in Singapore, key new materials and finished packaging have been developed and qualified for production using our revolutionary process and device architectures.
At Modern-Pak, we are currently involved in a number of projects, experimenting in-house in our manufacturing plants, to accelerate the development of our technology in key strategic areas that broaden the application of the technology, reduce design cycles and improve material performance. Several of these projects are funded in Singapore by the SPRING Singapore under the Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as Intellectual Property of Singapore (IPOS) for patents for designs created in-house. Our design department is outsourced as we work with local Polytechnics and University design school students in a bid to encourage more designs in the market of plastic packaging to benefit our customer range of choices.
We are working with SPRING to establish our Research and Development activity as a centre of excellence for plastic packaging technology and design. Its major aims will include an active innovation in plastic materials that we manufacture to bring interesting and present demand and value to Singapore and the region.
